Job Description and Responsibilities

 

EVRAZ North America is looking for a detail focused, and strong communicator to join our Red Deer team in the position of Yard Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out duties the shipping department performs prior to shipping and upon completion of orders.

 

  • Count and reconcile onsite inventory in system
  • Keep the inventory updated and accurate in the system as well as the ship confirmation in the inventory system 
  • Coordinate with maintenance the survey of equipment received with damages
  • Assist in physical inventory of equipment
  • Assist in order and cleanliness of the facilities
  • Provide solid customer service to coworkers, supervisors, customers, and suppliers via telephone, and email
  • Assist in the Yard Program

 

 

 



 



Job Requirements

 

  • Must have High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience operating a forklift
  • Experience in a shipping department or similar environment is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Windows, Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a highly interactive/energetic team environment, but the capability to effectively work alone with minimal supervision
  • The ability to multitask, react to changing conditions, and function well under the pressure of deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail and results oriented
  • Ability to communicate clear and concise information in an accurate and informative manner

Working conditions: Must be able to work outdoors and in an office setting.  Available to work weekends or holidays as needed
