Job Description and Responsibilities

 

We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the Stores team at our Regina facility.  Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is accountable to oversee the warehouse operation.  This role actively drives team operational and production goals.

  • Implement Tubular Stores Warehouse processes including: procurement, inventory control, receiving, storing, distribution of parts and supplies for Tubular operations
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of Stores personnel who are engaged in loading, unloading, moving and storing product in an efficient and safe manner
  • Manage manpower levels including approving employee time sheets, vacations and assigned overtime as necessary
  • Ensure the safety of Stores personnel
  • Conduct team training
  • Hold monthly safety meetings with employees
  • Attend regular meetings with Operations Management to review production planning requirements (integrating forecasts, open orders, store capacity, material ordering levels)
  • Comply with and improve upon procedures for procurement, inventory control, receiving, storing and distribution
  • Engage employees in continuous improvement to identify and eliminate waste



 



Job Requirements

 

  • 2-3 years of supply chain/warehouse supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Diploma in supply chain management and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field, supply chain professional designation an asset
  • Excellent safety track record, proven ability to recognize, control and manage operational risk
  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel and Word)
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques with a proven ability to direct and coordinate operations, hands on when required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Oracle experience an asset
