Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Tire Repairman to join our team located in Pueblo, Colorado.  As a Tire Repairman you will install and rebuild various size tires, assist in the Shops and Garage, transport personnel, miscellaneous tools, materials and equipment, service mobile equipment, repair and install tires in a safe manner.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Transport personnel, tools, materials and equipment
  • Operate air powered tools, measuring tools, and safety equipment 
  • Set up and operate drill press, grinders
  • Clean bearings and parts
  • Service mobile equipment
  • Remove, disassemble, repair, replace, reassemble and install tires on mobile equipment
  • Operate and maintain forklifts, trucks, heavy machinery, and mill mobile equipment
  • Use various other Shops and Garage equipment
  • Assist in all Shops and Garage
  • Observes all safety rules and lock out procedures
  • Repair and insure proper operation of all mobile equipment safety devices
  • Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly
  • Perform routine maintenance and assists Maintenance personnel
  • Replace empty barrels

 



Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be willing to work varied shifts (3 shift rotation) and any days of the week
     

Preferred Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated pattern of stable work history
  • Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or mining
  • 12 months experience in machine operation and general labor

Essential Physical Activities:
Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, carry, finger, grasp, feel, talk to communicate, speak over public address system, hear, and make repetitive motions. Needs to see to operate mobile equipment and machinery. Constantly exerts forces up to 100 pounds to lift, carry, push and pull.

Work Conditions:
Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Exposed to elevated noise levels, vibrations and extreme cold and heat. Physical Hazards-Close proximity to moving parts, vehicles, high pressure lines, pinch points and electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, hot surfaces, molten metal, hot fluids, shavings, sharp tools, chemicals, oil and lubricants. Atmospheric conditions may require the use of a respirator.
