Job Description and Responsibilities

 

We are currently seeking a Scrap Inspector to work in the EVRAZ GenAlta Recycling facility located in Sherwood Park.

  • Responsible for inspecting all incoming scrap into the yard
  • Accountable for classifying the types of metals as well as doing appropriate deductions if an excess of garbage is in the loads
  • Responsible for traffic control within the yard and dealing with customers in a respectful manner
  • Responsible for fueling large equipment
  • General janitorial duties including, but not limited to, cleaning lunch room, bathrooms, emptying garbage, disinfecting door knobs



 



Job Requirements

 

  • Ability to communicate via radio
  • Will be subjected to all weather conditions
  • Able to work in a loud and dusty environment
  • Driver's license is required
  • Background knowledge on metal would be considered an asset
  • Willing to train the right candidate
