At EVRAZ North America, we manufacture engineered steel products for rail, energy and industrial end markets at six production sites located in the USA (Portland, Oregon; Pueblo, Colorado) and Canada (Regina, Saskatchewan; Calgary, Camrose and Red Deer, Alberta). We are the largest North American producer by volume in the rail and large diameter pipe markets, and we hold leading positions in the Western Canada oil country tubular goods, small diameter pipe and West Coast plate markets.

 

 



Job Description and Responsibilities

 

EVRAZ NA has an immediate opening for a contract Recruiter in Calgary. The successful candidate will run a full cycle recruiting desk with a focus on technical roles that support industrial manufacturing facilities in Western Canada. The contract Recruiter will lead hiring manager recruiting discussions, build strong candidate pipelines, negotiate offers and manage the candidate experience. If you are self-motivated and results oriented, this is the right opportunity for you. This role is for a 12 month term.

  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Build a business partner relationship with Human Resources and Hiring Managers
  • Leverage social media, associations and niche sites to identify and recruit top talent into the organization
  • Thoroughly screen and present candidates with the necessary knowledge and experience in relation to position requirements
  • Manage and coordinate candidate communication and interview scheduling
  • Negotiate and extend offers of employment to selected candidates
  • Conduct references and initiate the pre-employment process



 



Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field or minimum of 5 years of experience with full cycle recruiting in a fast paced environment
  • 5 years of experience in technical recruiting for multiple sites
  • Cold calling and social media recruiting
  • Experience recruiting for manufacturing, preferred
  • Corporate recruiting and agency recruiting experience
  • Must have experience using an applicant tracking system
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient in MS office
