Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team located in Pueblo, Colorado.  As a Quality Engineer you will manage, investigate and work with the Quality Assurance team to remedy customer claims of produced products to required specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, compile data and reports on threading related claims and/or pipe quality claims
  • Create and review inspection plans in addition to revising standard operation procedures
  • Monitor incoming inspection of critical items and supply feedback to vendors
  • Work with QA to develop training manuals for inspection area
  • support product and process trials in conjunction with assisting in process control
  • Provide support as necessary during 3rd party inspections
  • Improve first pass yield throughout the operation
  • Improve gage process including R & R studies and evaluation of calibration/verification data



Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Two year technical degree
  • Three years experience in steel manufacturing or related industry
  • Ability to organize and motivate a production team for safe, high quality results
  • Proven ability to professionally communicate with customers and non-management employees
  • Positive attitude
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years experience investigating claims
  • Four year technical degree or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel)
