Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Process Sales inquiries based on production capabilities and slab inventory.
  • Assign slabs to customer orders to optimize productivity, yields, inventory levels and customer service. 
  • Review customer orders for exceptions requiring remakes and or adjustments.
  • Coordinate order completion and on time delivery with Sales and Shipping.
  • Assist other planners in the processing and issuing of roll rounds.
  • Schedule orders in support of our various stocking programs.
  • Projects as assigned.



Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 year degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
  • Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Self starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a group environment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised towards company goals
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical skills

 

Preferred Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (formulas and functions)
  • Basic understanding of structured query language (SQL)
  • Experience with Access is a plus
