Job Description and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a General Production Supervisor to join our growing team in Pueblo, Colorado. Rated as one of the best places to live, Pueblo is located at the confluence of the Arkansas River and Fountain Creek - just 30 miles south of Colorado Springs.

As General Production Supervisor will be joining a team which prides itself in the safe, efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality rail products. The individual selected for this role will develop, direct, and manage a team of four Supervisors and their respective employees. 

This role is a day shift, but requires the ability to support a 24 -hour operation (on- call nights and weekend).  Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote a workplace environment conducive to continuous improvement in the cost effective production of rail products
  • Understand and communicate to the workforce our customers’ total quality expectations and continuously work toward exceeding those expectations
  • Improve the commercially-driven flexibility of the operation while navigating multiple logistics constraints



Job Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent preferred
  • At least five (5) years’ steel manufacturing experience required
  • Must have five (5) or more years’ front-line supervisory experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Must have proven ability to organize and motivate production teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity
  • Knowledge and experience with process troubleshooting and material flow logistics required
  • Experience lean manufacturing and understanding of lean manufacturing principles and concepts required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required
  • Functional knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required; Microsoft Access experience a plus
  • Must have proven ability to professionally communicate in written and verbal forms
  • Five years of roller straightening of rails or special sections, sawing and gag press operations preferred
  • Experience with database development, statistical process control, process control and automation technologies preferred
  • Experience with Oracle quality and production modules and Oracle 11i requisitioning preferred
