Job Description and Responsibilities



General Purpose

Primarily responsible for managing scrap inventory and reporting, as well as, working with onsite third party mill services personnel. 



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accounts for all scrap shipment transactions & inventory reporting.
  • Provide reporting on scrap forecasting, daily shipment receipts and other reporting as required.
  • Assist external scrap suppliers with the Scrap Information Portal.
  • Provide month end closing reports to FP&A and NAHQ departments.
  • Maintain required scrap inventory reports in scrap management system.
  • Maintain purchase requisitions in Oracle.
  • Track and monitor offsite Scrap Substitute purchases and inventory in scrap management system.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in order to build/maintain positive working relationships within the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, be highly organized and have strong time management skills.
  • Cooperatively work with other teams within the Organization, including Traffic, FP&A, Accounts Payable and the Evraz Pueblo management team.
  • Other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary within the department.

 

 EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Proven ability to function effectively as a strong member of a cross-functional team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong oral and written skills

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

  • Physical ability to work indoors in an office environment surrounded by external heavy equipment operations and heavy semi-truck traffic.
