At EVRAZ North America, we manufacture engineered steel products for rail, energy and industrial end markets at six production sites located in the USA (Portland, Oregon; Pueblo, Colorado) and Canada (Regina, Saskatchewan; Calgary, Camrose and Red Deer, Alberta). We are the largest North American producer by volume in the rail and large diameter pipe markets, and we hold leading positions in the Western Canada oil country tubular goods, small diameter pipe and West Coast plate markets.

 

 



Job Description and Responsibilities

 

EVRAZ, Regina is recruiting a highly motivated team player with excellent time management skills to join our team as a Payroll Specialist for a nine month contract. In this role you will be responsible for processing salaried payroll, reconciliations, pension, benefits, and other HR related administrative functions. This position reports directly to the Manager, Payroll North America and works closely with all levels of management to ensure timely and accurate payroll administration.

  • Processing salaried payrolls (EE input/changes, processing special payments, balance/reconcile gross pay)
  • Processing relocation payments with our relocation provider (also responsible for wage requests and year to date reconciliations)  Liaison for Ceridian Tax services (working with Manager, Payroll North America to report tax issues to tax representative, process W2C’s, etc.) 
  • Miscellaneous payroll tasks may include: repayments, pay adjustment and calculations
  • Providing recommendations for process improvements 
  • Special tasks as assigned



 



Job Requirements

 

  • Associates or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Human Resources is required 
  • A minimum of 2 years in Finance and or Accounting/Payroll is required.  Exposure to Ceridian HR/Payroll Latitude (HPL) is ideal 
  • Must be proficient with Excel and MS Office Suite 
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll regulatory environment 
    Must be proactive and customer oriented, flexible and reliable
