Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist at our North American headquarters in downtown Chicago, IL. This position will report to the Payroll Manager. If you are someone that is detail and service oriented, analytical, a good communicator, and enjoys creating and documenting process and structure, this is a great opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing of US bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls (EE input/changes, processing special payments, balance/reconcile gross pay etc.)
  • Completing all Finance and HR reporting
  • Maintaining and auditing timecards, extract hours, and enter historical edits in Kronos
  • Processing relocation payments with our relocation provider  - also responsible for wage requests and YTD reconciliations)
  • Liaison for Ceridian Tax services (working with Payroll Manager to report tax issues to tax representative, process W2C’s, etc.)
  • Misc Payroll tasks include: repayments, pay adjustment calculations, etc.
  • Providing recommendations for process improvements
  • Special tasks, as assigned



Job Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Human Resources is required
  • 2-5 years of Accounting/Payroll experience with Ceridian and/or Kronos are required
  • Must be proficient with Excel and MS Office Suite Knowledge of multi-state
  • payroll regulatory environment
  • Must be proactive and customer oriented, flexible and reliable
