Maintenance Supervisor

City: Regina / State: Saskatchewan                                                   


At EVRAZ North America, we manufacture engineered steel products for rail, energy and industrial end markets at six production sites located in the USA (Portland, Oregon; Pueblo, Colorado) and Canada (Regina, Saskatchewan; Calgary, Camrose and Red Deer, Alberta). Job Description and Responsibilities

 

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to focus on the mechanical equipment at our Regina tubular facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for all mechanical maintenance related activities within the assigned work area. The incumbent will possess an in-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, excellent troubleshooting and strong leadership abilities. This role reports to the Maintenance Superintendent.

  • Management and scheduling of the assigned work group
  • Control attendance and adherence to working hours and approve overtime hours for their assigned work group
  • Train the workforce on safe work practices
  • Ensure the quality of the work performed by their assigned work group as well as external contractors
  • Create, plan and prioritize corrective work orders
  • Act as primary point of contact for Operations on mechanical maintenance issues
  • Collaborate with the Asset Maintenance Coordinator and Operations about planned maintenance activities



 



Job Requirements

 

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or a Bachelor’s degree coupled with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5-10 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor
  • Must be proficient in blue print reading and troubleshooting of mechanical operations of equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • In depth knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Equipment functionality and alignment (laser and dial)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
