Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Portland, Oregon Pipe Mill team for the summer of 2018.

  • Support Project Engineers, Process Engineers and Production General Supervisors in the execution of projects and process improvements.
  • Organize assembly drawings, schematics and develop documentation for equipment drawings.
  • Gather, interpret and take action on manually and electronically collected process data to improve processes.



Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business or Physics
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint (AutoCAD helpful)
  • Able to work in a heavy industrial environment

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawing
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, etc)
  • Proven ability to organize and motivate teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity
  • Proven ability to professionally motivate and engage employees

 

Anticipated Dates: June-September 2018, following commencement of Spring.

Semester Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team
