Job Description and Responsibilities

Evraz North America is looking for a motivated Hyperion Administrator to maintain multiple Oracle Cloud platforms within the EPM suite. The company is growing its footprint in the Hyperion Cloud space in order to improve processes and capabilities for planning and reporting, and to reduce monthly cycle times.

In this role, the Hyperion Administrator will work closely with Finance and Accounting teams in order to identify opportunities for improvement and develop new tools and processes in order to support the business needs, while maintaining system performance and stability and supporting end-users. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in continuous improvement, the ability to work in changing environments, and cross-functional teamwork. In addition, a robust governance process will be continuously developed and enforced as the company expands its footprint across different systems, with a focus on data and metadata relationships and integrity.

  • Maintenance and support of various Oracle Cloud EPM environments (Hyperion): Database size and performance, backup and recovery, security, data movements between cubes and external systems
  • Writing and optimizing calculation scripts, creation of reports, dashboards, and forms to meet planning and reporting needs for internal and external groups, and system documentation
  • Support users in the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and reporting packages
  • Maintain workflows and task lists
  • Provide training, and recommend process improvements as opportunities are identified.



Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or MIS
  • 4-6 years minimum combined Hyperion Planning, Essbase, or HFM (at least one year EPBCS or PBCS required), with experience in performance tuning and optimization
  • Knowledge of Essbase calculation scripts
  • Report writing experience in Smart View and HFR/FRS
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Expertise with ETL tools and data management
  • Understanding of Financial Planning and Accounting cycles, GAAP and IFRS principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work with and train various teams within the organization
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and technical skills to architect, develop and support solutions

 Preferred Skills:

  • Corporate Finance experience including forecasting, budgeting, and consolidations, especially with multiple currencies
  • Project management background and the ability to work on or lead multiple simultaneous initiatives
  • Knowledge of BI and related tools to complement Hyperion-based reporting and analytics
  • Quality documentation skills for functional and technical users
