Job Description and Responsibilities

A successful Human Resources Representative will be able to perform work in some or all of the following areas with limited supervision: payroll administration, benefits administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, talent development, performance management and employment law. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Acts as an employee relations specialist.
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts new-hire orientation including:
    • Benefits enrollment.
    • I-9 Verification
  • Performs exit interviews
  • Assists in the administration of compensation related topics
  • Helps monitor the performance appraisal process.
  • Participates in benefits administration.
  • Interviews, screens, and recruits job applicants to fill non-exempt positions; participates in exempt recruitment as necessary.
  • Coordinates leave of absence requests with a 3rd party designee.
  • Runs reports and completes AAP/EEO reporting.
  • Assists the Senior Human Resources Manager in Performing investigations related to harassment, discrimination, and other employee relations occurrences.
  • Coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing disciplinary actions
  • Maintains employee personnel files.
  • Monitors tardy and absenteeism.
  • Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Assist Senior HR Manager with research and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 



Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in human resources or related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proven effective verbal and accurate written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Preferred:
    • Background in employment law
    • Professional SHRM or HRCI Human Resources Certification
