Job Description and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transferring pipe up to 80 feet in length.

  • Operate mobile equipment including but not limited to forklifts, cranes and mi-jack
  • Inventory control; maintain pipe storage in the yard and prepare pipe for shipment
  • Quality assurance; communicate with the mill on any issues of pipe being processed out
  • Load pipe onto trucks and railcars
  • Cross-train in other areas as needed



Job Requirements

  • Previous forklift operation required
  • Must have good depth perception, eye-hand coordination and driving skills
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently within the scope of job
  • Able to become an EVRAZ Certified Mobile Equipment Operator
  • Strong attention to detail, close observation and concentration skills
  • Excellent decision making, planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work safely in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and accept changes in job duties
  • Ability to attain qualification in multiple positions
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to work up to 12 hour rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and overtime

Preferred:

  • 6 – 12 months experience in an industrial environment
