Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Portland, Oregon Maintenance team for the summer of 2018.

  • Support maintenance supervisors and Asset Maintenance Coordinators on spare part analysis and organization, participate in predictive and preventative maintenance planning & inspection, and monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators.
  • Organize assembly drawings, schematics and develop documentation for equipment drawings
  • Creates designs for new equipment under the direction of project managers

Use AutoCAD Software and 3D modeling to prepare layouts for equipment and mill facilities



Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Water Engineering
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AutoCAD
  • Able to work in a heavy industrial environment

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawing
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, etc)
  • Proven ability to organize and motivate teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity
  • Proven ability to professionally motivate and engage employees

 

Anticipated Dates: June-September 2018, following commencement of Spring.
