Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking an Engineer to join our team located in Pueblo, Colorado. In this position, you will support rolling mills, steelmaking production and maintenance at a highly automated steel manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan for future equipment and assist various departments with solving equipment problems and maintaining the high and medium voltage distribution systems
  • Design, develop, and implement control systems (hardware & software) to improve production times, steel quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, down-time reduction, and process automation
  • Develop equipment specifications, bid packages for equipment purchase and installation, and project schedules as well as reviewing equipment drawings
  • Project management responsibilities
  • Design equipment, machinery, and structural members



Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Five to seven years engineering work experience in heavy industrial environment
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office, Project, Auto Cad, and Solid Works and ability to read equipment drawings (hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, etc.)
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing
