Job Description and Responsibilities

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant for our Coupling and Machining facility in Edmonton.  The successful candidate must be able to work safely in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role provides administrative support to the Inventory Control and Payroll departments as well as other groups as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills enabling them to handle a variety duties while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

  • Prepare correspondence, presentations, coordinate meetings, submit requisitions, track costs, and maintain department personnel records and use department tools for document storage
  • Complete daily data entry of plant production and quality reporting
  • Provide support to all functions of the Edmonton facility including Payroll and Human Resources functions



 



Job Requirements

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing support to a technical group
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel (ability to create advanced spreadsheets) and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize assigned responsibilities, and maintain accuracy while meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals at varying levels within the organization and vendor base
  • Must be willing to work in the manufacturing plant for products and supplies counting and control
  • Self-initiating with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to constant change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
