Job Description and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a technically driven Threading Production Supervisor to join our growing team in Pueblo, Colorado. Rated as one of the best places to live, Pueblo is located at the confluence of the Arkansas River and Fountain Creek - just 30 miles south of Colorado Springs. As a Threading Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safety, productivity and quality of the Threading line. This role will be required to work rotating shifts. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that all thread line machinery, mobile equipment and associated facilities are safely and effectively operated and maintained to the highest standards to fulfill safety, production and quality requirements.
  • Maintain necessary inventory of threading supplies, interface with storehouse and vendors as needed for restocking and trials.
  • Must passionately follow and establish health and safety practices.
  • Coordinate and manage both operations and maintenance personnel to maintain shift manpower for line operation and training.
  • Conduct shift safety meetings, train employees on safe work practices, conduct daily safe job observations and daily tool box talks with Mill Operators.
  • Ensure production meets output and quality goals while remaining within budget
  • Responsible for generating/implementing methods to make the production process and use of company resources more efficient.
  • Monitor product conformance to standards and implement API quality control programs.
  • Maintain, analyze, and draft reports related to data and performance
  • Prepare and ensure implementation of the relevant API/ISO and customer requirements in all processes during production.
  • Perform daily process inspections with emphasis on safety, quality and productivity issues, coordinate with support groups to design and implement countermeasures.
  • Possession of basic operation skills/knowledge of the following machines, tools, and equipment:
    • Threading Machine (CNC) and Automatic Coupling Starter and Buck On Machine
    • Pipe threads quality verification equipment
    • API gauge use
    • Pipe Coating equipment
    • Weigh, measure, stamp and stencil machines
    • Radio, forklifts, Material handling equipment
    • Use LEAN/6 Sigma tools
  • Use Statistical Process Control concepts to ensure product continuously conforms to all applicable standards.
  • Manage employees in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and Company Policies.
  • This position will be required to cross-train other supervisory roles within the Seamless Department.



Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must have knowledge of CNC Threading and related machinery for OCTG products OR a strong background in CNC, Automation and Leadership.
  • Understanding of governing quality specifications (API 5CT, API 5B).
  • Experience working with PMC Machines a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in various types and grades of OCTG pipe highly desired.
  • Well-versed in new production technologies and supervisory practices.
  • Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership, managerial, problem-solving and proven decision making skills.
  • Initiative to identify areas of opportunity, propose and initiate solutions.
  • Proven ability to interact with all levels of personnel and communicate professionally, both written and verbally.
  • Must have ability to work in a team environment with proven interpersonal skills and ability to compromise, persuade, and negotiate.
