We are seeking a Plant Protection Supervisor to join our security team located in Pueblo, Colorado.  At the direction of Compliance and Asset Protection (CAP), you will supervise the day to day operations of the Plant Protection Team (PPT) to ensure standards and training are maintained and reflect the team’s responsibility to fully and successful perform its multi-role mission encompassing Physical Security, EMT and Firefighting response.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads Plant Protection personnel effectively and exercises sound judgment to cooperate with other plant protection personnel
• Manage PPT scheduling, timetables, vacation, and call offs to ensure adequate coverage is met
• Coordinate PPT daily activities to ensure compliance with company and state regulations and all Security, EMT, and Firefighting training is maintained and meets Colorado State or National requirements
• Coordinate and track certifications and / or re-certifications of the PPT as required by Colorado State Statute
• Maintain fire suppression equipment, testing equipment, various types of motor vehicles, all types of firefighting, medical and security equipment, 2-way radios, telephone, alarm and security camera monitoring systems, appropriate hand tools and necessary safety equipment
• Plans, directs and coordinates training projects, certification processes and programs to include CPR, AED and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) training and re-training for Plant Protection EMTs and all other EVRAZ employees, as needed
• Regularly assess the PPT to ensure the appropriate application and use of company resources
• Conduct and assist in preliminary and follow-up investigations at the direction of CAP
• Ensure quality communication and effective dialogue is maintained, including reporting and documentation
• Represent in a professional manner the PPT at local company meetings as required
• Additional responsibilities as requested

Job Qualifications:

• Must possess and maintain EMT-Intermediate Certification and be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge, skill and aptitude of security and firefighting processes  
• Possess and maintain an EMT Instructor Certification as required by the Colorado Department of Health, preferable
• Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license
