Maintenance Planner

City: Camrose / State: Alberta

Job Description and Responsibilities

 

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our growing manufacturing asset management team in Camrose, Alberta. In this role you will apply your strong maintenance planning skills to develop plans for inspections and carry out predictive and preventive maintenance for assigned assets. Reporting to the General Supervisor, the successful candidate will foster strong working relationships across the business.

  • Develop plans for weekly maintenance downturns, major plant shut downs, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) repair projects
  • Prepare, monitor, and evaluate results from equipment inspections
  • Manage technical documentation for assigned tasks, performing equipment administration as required
  • Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for assigned tasks
  • Develop budgets for assigned assets including CAPEX repair projects
  • Establish equipment criticality and technical status for assigned assets



 



Job Requirements

 

  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing equipment technologies and limitations, including impacts on: safety, quality, productivity, and cost
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Journeyman Electrician, Mechanic or as a manufacturing maintenance Facility Coordinator, preference will be given to candidates with an Engineering degree
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience planning and organizing maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Advanced communication skills (oral and written), ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, etc.)
  • ACAD experience would be an asset
  • Attention to detail with solid administrative and organizational abilities
