Maintenance Planner in Regina at Evraz North America

EVRAZ is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Regina maintenance team. The successful candidate will be an excellent project manager with experience managing and developing plans for maintenance downturns as well as predictive and preventative maintenance scheduling in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment. This role will also develop plans for inspections including monitoring and evaluating results. Relevant experience in a fast-paced heavy industrial manufacturing environment is required.

• Develop plans for weekly maintenance downturns, major plant shut downs, and CAPEX repair projects
• Prepare, monitor, and evaluate results from equipment inspections
• Manage technical documentation for assigned tasks, perform equipment administration as required
• Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for assigned tasks
• Develop budgets for assigned assets, including capital expenditure (CAPEX) repair projects
• Establish equipment criticality and technical status for assigned assets

• A minimum of five (5) years experience working as an Industrial Engineer, Journeyperson Electrician, Mechanical Journeyperson or as a Maintenance Coordinator in an industrial manufacturing environment
• An understanding of equipment technologies and limitations and their effect on safety, quality, productivity, and cost
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance tools such as vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, etc.
• The ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Projects, and PowerPoint
• Proven teamwork skills, excellent communication skills both verbal and written, as well as administrative and organizational skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
