At EVRAZ North America, we manufacture engineered steel products for rail, energy and industrial end markets at six production sites located in the USA (Portland, Oregon; Pueblo, Colorado) and Canada (Regina, Saskatchewan; Calgary, Camrose and Red Deer, Alberta). We are the largest North American producer by volume in the rail and large diameter pipe markets, and we hold leading positions in the Western Canada oil country tubular goods, small diameter pipe and West Coast plate markets.

 

 



Job Description and Responsibilities

 

EVRAZ Inc. NA has an opening for an IT Software Developer at our Regina facility. This exciting manufacturing environment utilizes current IT technologies to deliver critical solutions to our corporate team across North America. The IT Software Developer role supports existing systems, as well as, designs and develops IT solutions to enhance current technologies. 

  • Contribute your technical and professional skills in a team environment that works on applications
  • Integrated Client/Server environment
  • Variety of COTS and custom developed applications.
  • Innovation to design and develop customized process feedback



 



Job Requirements

 

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience designing, developing and deploying applications within a Microsoft .NET environment
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Technical strengths in several of the following Microsoft technologies:
    • Visual Studio VB / C# / ASP.NET
    • Visual C++
    • SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 and Management Studio
    • SharePoint
    • Reporting Services
    • Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) / Silverlight
    • Windows Communication Framework (WCF)
    • Entity Data Model (EDM)
    • Expression Blend
  • Experience with both COTS and custom built applications an asset
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Collaborative team player
