Job Description and Responsibilities

EVRAZ North America is seeking two experienced Document Control Technicians to join our team in Pueblo, CO for a long-term temporary assignment. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Project Palmer Team and responsible to process and oversee documents for the entire project. The successful candidate will ensure that documents are: received, transmitted, reviewed, changed, controlled, issued and stored as per project control guidelines. This position reports to the Document Control Manager.

  • Coordinate change control activities with all departments to implement and maintain the document management and control process
  • Review document changes for adherence to document control procedures
  • Distribute updated documents to the project team, engineering, suppliers, and contractors
  • Fulfill document retrieval requests
  • Organize and archive documents by scanning, copying, physically and/or electronically filing
  • Represent the document control department as required during audits
  • Follow project specific procedures and practices related to document control and project guidelines



Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of related administrative experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Thorough understanding of the filing system to be able to quickly and effectively retrieve documents and data as required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe, experience with project management software NewForma, preferred
  • Must be a problem solver, self-starter able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent team player, strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and members of management
