Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Primary function is to provide Customer Service Support
  • Limited Customer contact
  • No direct involvement in quotation and order solicitation process, but may prepare formal quotations as directed by ISR and Sales Management
  • Inputs data for lengthy PPC & Technical inquiries and formal customer quotations as required by ISR
  • Assists Shipping Coordinator & Expeditors in expediting critical, or problematic orders through the OSM system as required
  • Provides order status information as required to Inside Sales
  • Alerts ISR to any actual or potential order delays as discovered through the Customer Service Reporting function
  • Assists ISR with Claim initiation data input as required
  • Prepares requested changes to Customer Master as directed by the ISR
  • Prepare change orders as requested by the ISR
  • Maintains Online Customer Service account access as approved by the Sales Service Manager
  • Assist with special project, reports and duties as required by Sales Service Manager and other Sales Management
  • Assists Sales Service Manager in maintaining Sales Department documentation (SOPs) and other Process Control documentation
  • Regularly monitor all Automated Customer Service Programs for operational accuracy & offer suggestions for functional improvement
  • Research Shipping and Claim issues as required by ISR
  • Maintain automated Customer Service Survey database
  • Develop queries & spreadsheets to elicit specific, historic sales data as required by Sales Mgmt.
  • Manage progress of IS Support Requests and report back to Sales Service Manager
